Parameter Optimization of Reciprocating Cutter for Chinese Little Greens Based on Finite Element Simulation and Experiment

Optimizing the working performance of cutting device for harvesting Chinese little greens is crucial to reducing energy consumption in and improving quality. To explore mechanical characteristics leafy vegetables cutting, dynamic process with a cutter was simulated numerically by using finite element method based on theoretical analysis. In numerical simulation, response-surface methodology (RSM) central composite rotatable design (CCD) were used describe influence rule sliding–cutting angle (X1), oblique (X2), average speed (X3) stress. Then, stress distribution pattern produced blade stalks evaluated different parameters. Subsequently, taking minimum as target value, best combination structure parameters obtained: 29°, 38°, 500 mm/s. At condition optimal parameter combinations, ultimate upper 0.95 Mpa that bottom 0.77 Mpa. A test carried out bench performance, properties at speeds studied. Test results showed mm/s, relatively small effect reached value. The simulation reduced cost provided reference development low power consumption.
